Superstar singer Adele had planned to give her Australian audience some excitement in the form of pyrotechnics during a recent show, but she was forced to make the decision to pull the fireworks after debris hit her son Angelo in the eye during rehearsals.

Speaking to the crowd during her sold-out show in Perth, Adele said, "We’ve been rehearsing here and up until last night we had fireworks for you.

“And obviously everyone likes a fireworks display. However, my son was watching in the crowd... there wasn’t much of a crowd, there was like five people.

"A bit of debris, it wasn’t big but a bit of s--t went in his eye and he was very upset, so I got rid of the fireworks.”

We hope little Angelo is ok!

Meanwhile Adele seemed to be up to her old tricks after kicking off the Australian leg of her 25 World Tour earlier in the week.

The 'Hello' singer welcomed a drag impersonator onto the stage after spotting DJ Feminem dressed up as her in the audience.

Feminem explained to the singer ‘I impersonate you professionally for a job…. Can I sing for you?’ before launching into the opening lines of Adele’s ‘Rumour Has It’.

They even got a selfie together!

Despite not attending the BRIT Awards last week due to her tour duties, Adele picked up the 'Global Success Award' for her dominance in the music industry over the last few years.

In a pre-recorded speech, the 28-year-old admitted the award 'means the world' to her and thanked fans for her best year yet.

Adele continues to tour Australia on her 25 World Tour.
