Strictly Come Dancing star Aston Merrygold announces engagement with cute photo

Strictly Come Dancing star Aston Merrygold has announced he and his pregnant girlfriend Sarah Richards have got engaged, over the Christmas period. Taking to Instagram the former JLS member posted a cute photo of the couple. In the photo Aston's hand was placed on his fiancée's baby bump, whilst Sarah has her left hand on his chest, showing off the sparkling ring.
The photo also showed the couple standing in a heart shape of red and white rose petals, with a poster behind which read 'Follow Your Dreams'. To top it all off Aston even chose 'Cloud 9' as the location of the photo, as he captioned it, 'Allow me to introduce you all to my fiancée💍 #TheMerrygolds #shesaidyes #enganged #wifey #mummydaddyandbabymerrygold'.
Aston and Sarah met five years ago when she was a backing dancer for his former group JLS, and earlier this year the pair announced they would be expecting their first baby. Just before Aston was about to star in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing he shared a photo of himself and Sarah sat at their dinner table with a sign saying 'reserved', the pair had both blue and pink balloons with the photo saying, 'Could it be pink?' and 'Could it be blue?'.
In the caption Aston revealed the happy couple discovered their news on 29th May and added he promises to be 'the best daddy'.
He wrote, 'On May 29th 2017 we found out that our lives were going to change forever! This secret has been so hard to keep, but I'm so excited to finally be able to share the news with everybody that me and my beautiful lady @sarahlourichards are going to be parents!!!!!! 😃❤🌍😍 I'm NEVER speechless but words can't describe how I feel.. All I know is there's no feeling like it! Sar I promise to be the best daddy ever to our baby boy/girl. You are an amazing woman and going to be the greatest mum to our child! Aston rose to fame as part of the boy band JLS who were runners-up to Alexandra Burke in The X Factor back in 2008. The band split in 2013 and since then he has been involved in a number of TV shows including, Got To Dance as a judge, and most recently Strictly Come Dancing as a contestant, getting to the seventh week, losing the dance off to The Saturdays' singer Mollie King.
