Former The Only Way Is Essex star Dan Osborne is furious after his dad went to the papers to sell a story about allegedly being 'banned' from his son's wedding to EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa (now Osborne).

What should have been a truly happy time for the couple went slightly sour after the star's dad approached a national newspaper to talk about how his son had turned on him after he was unable to make the Las Vegas stag party, which led to him not attending their big day.

Jim, who split from Dan's mum Toni in 2001, had complained 'I thought it was obvious they didn’t want me there and I wasn’t invited.'

He continued that fame had changed his son since he became involved with Jacqueline, who plays Lauren Branning in EastEnders.

The 26-year-old vented his fury on Twitter, 'People have sold LIES about me in the past to the press for some £££ and attention... but my own dad doing it now too. Great dad he is.'

Dan then replied to a fan who said his father didn't deserve the title with, 'True mate, some people don't even deserve to be called a 'dad'.

Dan also retweeted a message written by Jacqueline's EastEnders co-star Aaron Sidwell that said, 'I've never met more decent people than Mr and Mrs O. Their real family know the truth Nothing else matters'.

Dan and Jacqueline got married on the 24th June in front of 170 guests. Dan shared an adorable photo shared on Instagram of the newlyweds posing with their daughter Ella and son Teddy from Dan's previous relationship with Megan Tomlin. He captioned the photo 'The Osborne's 😊❤️'.

Jacqueline also posted loved up pictures from her wedding day.
