Ed Sheeran doesn't make it into the top 10!
Earlier this year Forbes released their list of the 20 highest-paid European celebrities for 2017, however some notable names failed to make the top 10.
12 of the European entertainers are from the UK, including television personalities Gordon Ramsey and Simon Cowell.
Whilst artists such as Adele, Calvin Harris and Elton John do make it into the top 10, the unstoppable Ed Sheeran trails at number 16. The top 20 is full of sportsmen, particularly footballers and racing car drivers, whilst it's British author JK Rowling who takes the top spot, just one of two women to be included in the list (the other being Adele at number 4).

20. Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Sweden; $32M)
Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic currently plays for Manchester United and also played for his national team between 2001 to 2016.

Known for his swerving free kicks, Gareth Bale is the second professional footballer on this list.

Irish mixed martial artist Conor McGregor became a professional boxer earlier this year, taking on Floyd Mayweather Jr in his debut boxing match in Las Vegas.
17. Fernando Alonso (Spain; $36M)
The first of many racing drivers to make this list, Spanish double World Champion Fernando Alonso features at number 17.
16. Ed Sheeran (UK; $37M)
He's been unstoppable this year after taking a year out in 2016. His comeback singles, released in January went straight to number 1 and 2.
15. Novak Djokovic (Serbia; $37.6M)
Serbian professional tennis player Novak Djokovic has 12 Grand Slam singles title under his belt.
14. Sebastian Vettel (Germany; $38.5M)
Four-time Formula One World Champion, Sebastian Vettel is the second racing driver to be featured in the Highest-Paid European Celebrities 2017.
13. Tiesto (Netherlands, $39M)
A big name in the dance music scene Tiesto is a festival favourite around the world, however whilst he might be the second highest paid DJ in the world, the Dutchman is only ranked at number 13 in this list.
12. Simon Cowell (UK; $43.5M)
Known for his blunt comments on The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent, the talent show judge is also known for starting the careers of many successful artists including One Direction.
11. Lewis Hamilton (UK; $46M)
British race driver Lewis Hamilton is a three-time Formula One World Champion and is widely regarded as one of the best drivers of his generation.
10. Calvin Harris (UK; $48.5M)
Scottish DJ Calvin Harris is one of the highest paid DJs in the world, but could only just get into the top ten of the Highest-Paid European Celebrities 2017. This year the music producer has released a number of songs collaborating with the likes of Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams and Ariana Grande.
9. Rory McIlroy (UK; $50M)
Professional golfer Rory McIlroy signed a huge contract with Nike in 2013, earlier this year he extended it for another 10 years.
8. Paul McCartney (UK; $54M)
The former member of The Beatles has a very successful solo career. Although it has been a few years since he has released new music he has a small part in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales playing the part of Uncle Jack.
6= Gordon Ramsey (UK; $60M)
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey started off in 1998 with a fly-on-the-kitchen-wall documentary Boiling Point, followed by Beyond Boiling Point in 2000. He later went on to star in his own TV series Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen.

Sir Elton John is a multi-award-winning singer-songwriter, with over fifty top 40 hits and nine number 1 singles. His most recent studio album 'Wonderful Crazy Night' was released last year and reached number 6 in the UK.

Swiss tennis player Roger Federer is currently ranked number 2 in the world and has won a massive 19 Grand Slam singles titles.
4. Adele (UK; $69M)
29-year-old Adele released her third number 1 album two years ago which spawned three top 10 hits including her comeback single 'Hello'.
3. Coldplay (UK; $88M)
Formed over 20 years ago Coldplay are truly unstoppable at the moment with a string of hits over the years including collaborations with DJ duo The Chainsmokers and Barbadian superstar Rihanna.
2. Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal; $93M)
Professional footballer Cristiano Ronaldo made his international debut at the age of 18 in 2003 and was named the best Portuguese player of all-time by the Portuguese Football Federation in 2015.
1. JK Rowling (UK; $95M)
Author JK Rowling is known for writing the hugely popular Harry Potter books as well as spin-offs Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Last year she wrote her first screenplay for the film of her book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
