Just as we were getting over the excitement of a reality TV wedding, after Love Island’s Jess and Dom surprise nuptials this morning, former X Factor contestant Bupsi Brown has announced she’s having a baby on the most loved-up day of the year!

The singer announced her pregnancy this morning via Instagram with a picture of her huge bump.

The snap was adorably captioned, 'I promise to love and protect you until my very last breath… love Mama Bupsi.'

Fans were quick to flood the comments with congratulations, with one writing, 'Yes! 💓💓 what a stunning photograph of you both you look amazing. Love and light mumma xx.'

Another said, 'Huge congratulations to you @bupsi and you will make an amazing mother! 💖💗💓xx.'

Bupsi, whose real name is Vicky Brown became one of our favourite ever X Factor contestants with her instantly iconic audition in 2015. During her audition she climbed on the judge’s desk in front of Rita Ora and Cheryl Tweedy and sat on Simon Cowell’s lap.

Simon later became her mentor in the competition when she got through to the live shows in the Overs category. But after being eliminated in week one, Bupsi slated Simon for not really being around during the show.

Speaking to heatworld at the time, she said, “I’m not going to lie, we didn’t really see Simon. The other categories were quite lucky – I know the boys had contact with Nick Grimshaw – and I thought, really?

"And I saw Cheryl Tweedy in the house talking to the groups but I really didn’t get that from Simon. I don’t know if that was because we are the elderly’s and they think we’re all right and don’t need that parenting but we did. It would have been nice.”

We guess she won’t be asking Simon to be godfather then!

Congratulations Bupsi!

The new series of The X Factor is currently looking for contestants and says that a few hopefuls could get the chance to perform on stage on the last night of 'The X Factor Tour' due to start on Friday (16th February).
