There are many famous siblings in the world of celebrity, we've got James and Dave Franco, The Kardashians, soap stars Charley Webb and Jamie Lomas, and many more, but the latest reveal has left some EastEnders fans in complete shock.

Is Laila Morse related to Gary Oldman?

Despite this news coming to light a number of years ago now, the fact that Laila Morse (AKA Big Mo off EastEnders), and Oscar winner Gary Oldman are siblings has only just been discovered by many.

Of course 62-year-old Gary and 75-year-old Laila have always been siblings, but after a TikTok video brought up the long-forgotten fact once more, Twitter went into meltdown...

The confusion could be due to the fact Laila changed her name when she was younger. The EastEnders star was born Maureen Oldman, but she was later given the stage name Laila Morse by a fellow actress.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk about her decision to leave Albert Square, Laila said, "I made the decision a while ago that I wanted to move to Spain so I let the team know that was my plan. They said they would love to have me come back now and again when there was a need for Big Mo to return which was lovely to hear. I mean it was ideal as this opportunity gave me the chance to spend more time in Spain, in the sunshine!"
