Emma Corrin will star alongside Harry Styles in the new Amazon film adaptation of My Policeman.

It was announced earlier this week that the actor had been nominated for a Golden Globe award for her portrayal of Princess Diana in Netflix’s The Crown.

She will replace Lily James, who was initially rumoured to be starring alongside multi-talented Styles, who is currently filming for new drama Don’t Worry Darling alongside Florence Pugh.

My Policeman is based on the novel by Bethan Roberts set in 1950’s Brighton about a married couple, Tom (Styles) and Marion (Corrin) who later falls for a policeman.

24-year-old Corrin shared a video on social media of the moment she found out she had been nominated for a Golden Globe award.

Award-winning director Michael Grandage will direct the film which has been written by Ron Nyswaner.

Former One Direction star Harry Styles has carved out a hugely successful solo career for himself, especially after the release of his self-titled debut solo album in 2017 and his incredible follow-up 'Fine Line' in December 2019.

He's also a talented actor, having starred in 2017 war film Dunkirk, directed by Inception's Christopher Nolan.

Take a look at Harry Styles' fashion evolution through the years

2010: One Direction

After initially auditioning as solo candidates, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne were put together by Simon Cowell as One Direction. On stage, the teenagers were heavily styled by The X Factor producers but off stage, 16-year-old Harry joined his bandmates in wearing typically teen-friendly tracksuits, hoodies and gilets.

The One Direction revolution swept the globe and the boys' popularity skyrocketed. They signed to Simon Cowell's Syco label, embarked on The X Factor tour and released their debut single 'What Makes You Beautiful'.
