Jade Thirlwall reveals why she fell for Rizzle Kicks boyfriend Jordan Stephens

While lockdown spelled the end of many a celeb relationships, including Jesy Nelson and Chris Hughes, love was definitely in the air for Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall who sparked a romance with Rizzle Kicks star Jordan Stephens.
Jade and Jordan reportedly began messaging each during lockdown and later met up for some socially distanced dates when restrictions eased before they went public at a Black Lives Matter protest in London.
The pair have kept their relationship out of the limelight so far, but now Jade has spoken out about her boyfriend for the first time in a conversation with legendary drag queen RuPaul.
The 27-year-old, who guest-judged an episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK last year, revealed she fell for Jordan after seeing him dressed in drag for his role in 2019 film Tucked.
She explained, “When I first started talking to my boyfriend, I discovered he did a movie where he played a drag queen and I was like, right, that’s it.”
“He’s perfect. Sign me up! A straight man who’s willing to dress in drag and loves being queer and feminine,” she added in her chat with Ru for Cosmopolitan.

Jade’s relationship with Jordan is her first since splitting from boyfriend of three years, The Struts musician Jed Elliott, in July last year.
Jade and Jed first began dating in 2016 but reportedly struggled to make their relationship work with their busy touring schedules.
“They spent so much time apart as Jed is on tour constantly in the USA with his band The Struts. And obviously Jade is super busy with Little Mix promo - and about to start a massive LM5 Tour. The split is amicable and they remain mates,” a source told MailOnline at the time.
Jade’s currently starring alongside bandmates Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson on their talent show Little Mix: The Search but had to appear on the first live show via video link after being forced to self-isolate at home.
This wasn’t the first time the live show had been thrown into chaos either as BBC bosses had to postpone it by one week due to a Covid-19 breakout on set.
