Strictly Come Dancing's Karen and Kevin Clifton reveal details about their shock split

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left in shock earlier this month when professional dancers Karen and Kevin Clifton announced their split after three years of marriage.
The couple, who both appear on the popular show, revealed they had decided to end their romance, but did admit they were still very good friends.
As the pair are due to go on tour together, both Karen and Kevin appeared on This Morning to discuss their shock split.
Explaining something didn't feel right, Kevin told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, "There was suddenly this big elephant in the room, and normally you'd deal with those things privately. Obviously being on such a massive show, people are talking about it."
He then continued, "We're quite positive people in general, and we thought rather than hide behind this elephant in the room, let's get on top of it and have a ride around, and just say it and be respectful to all our our fans and supporters and anyone that wants to see the show, and be honest about it."
Discussing their upcoming tour together, Karen and Kevin revealed it was already planned before they chose to break-up, admitting it would be very 'hard' to let all of it go due to the break down in their relationship.
Karen said, "We've been dancing together for seven years, and that bond we created as friends first of all and professional dancers has been very strong. To let go of all of that because our private life hasn't worked out the way that we wanted would have been quite hard."

Kevin and Karen first met each other back in 2013 when they were both hired as professional dancers for the popular dancing show. After starting a romance, the pair then tied the knot just two years later after Kevin proposed to Karen on her birthday.
Despite announcing their split earlier this month, Karen and Kevin are set to tour the UK for the second time as they take their 'Karen and Kevin Dance 2018 Tour' to the likes of Manchester, Liverpool, York, Gateshead and more.
Both Karen and Kevin are also expected to return to the next series of Strictly Come Dancing when it returns later in the year.
