When superstar Beyoncé announced she was expecting twins with her husband Jay-Z back in February 2017, the Internet went into meltdown, literally.

The singer, who went all out for the announcement shoot, was crowned the Queen of Instagram when her photo became the most liked snap on the popular photo sharing site.

Queen Bey's photo has 11,244,481 likes (at the time of publication), and whilst this is MASSIVE amount, she's lost her crown!

After not only confirming she was pregnant, but also announcing she'd given birth to her first child, Kylie Jenner has stolen the showbiz crown from almost everybody this week.

After introducing her baby girl to world by sharing a photo of her clutching her hand and revealing her name is Stormi Webster, Kylie's photo has already racked up a MASSIVE 14,928,334 likes (at the time of publication).

This sees Kylie take over from Beyoncé from having the most liked photo on Instagram.

The cute snap even beat her own photo of announcing the birth, which to date has 10,372,511 likes.

Despite having the most liked photo, pop star Selena Gomez still has the most followers on the site. Whilst Kylie has 103 million followers, the former Disney star has an incredible 133 million!

Meanwhile, as well as having the most liked Instagram photo, Kylie is currently enjoying her first week of being a new mum.

After keeping her pregnancy a secret from her fans, the 20-year-old announced she'd welcomed baby Stormi into the world on 1st February. Taking to Instagram on Sunday night, Kylie wrote:

'I'm sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you're used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way I knew how. there was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal i had planned. I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness.'

She continued, 'Pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and like changing experience I've had in my entire life and I'm actually going to miss it. I appreciate my friends and especially my family for helping me make this special moment as private as we could. My beautiful and healthy baby girl arrived February 1st and I just couldn't wait to share this blessing. I've never felt love and happiness like this I could burst! Thank you for understanding.'
