Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan's relationship has been plagued by split rumours ever since they first tied the knot in July 2015. But they've proved the doubters wrong in the nearly three years since their wedding.

Despite the fact that they've barely spent any time living together over the past three years – and with Mark currently living in the US whilst working as a reporter on Extra – they're stronger than ever.

And in an interview on Lorraine this morning, Mark revealed the one rule they have to ensure they keep the romance alive.

He said, "We're back and forward all the time. I just come to see her for a weekend and try and make sure it's three weeks maximum that we don't see each other."

But their long-distance relationship doesn't come without its ups and downs, as Mark admitted that the distance occasionally got to him as they both missed out on big events in each others' lives.

He said, "She looked amazing at the BAFTAs on Sunday. I was annoyed I couldn't be there, I saw the pictures and thought..." as he breathed out deeply to emphasise his point.

Mark and Michelle first met on holiday in Dubai at the end of 2012, and reportedly fell in love immediately. It was only a matter of days before they met up back in the UK for their first date.

Mark didn't hold back when blasting their critics, as he went on, "People are told and taught long distance relationships can’t work. Why can’t they work? As long as you see each other enough, it keeps things fresh.

"While we're young and we're still so in love and so happy, and she’s travelling round the world with her work, why not?"

N'aww!
