Strictly star Mollie King reveals secret battle with learning difficulty

Former star of The Saturdays and 2017 Strictly Come Dancing contestant Mollie King has bravely opened up about her hidden battle with the learning difficulty dyslexia.
Mollie appeared on a pre-recorded segment for ITV daytime show This Morning where she revealed she was first diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of ten, after finding it difficult to read in school.
Speaking about her life as a child, the 'Issues' singer revealed how much she would 'dread' having to take turns to read out loud in her class. She said, "I found reading really hard. I felt like the words were moving on the page. I would absolutely dread it!"
Mollie later revealed her feelings after she was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of ten. She added, “I do remember feeling a huge sense of relief because I felt like I was just stupid. That was such a huge relief for me."
After Mollie's segment was aired on today's episode of This Morning, fans of the pop star were quick to praise her for raising awareness of dyslexia.
According to the NHS, dyslexia is a 'common learning difficulty that can cause problems with reading, writing and spelling', with one in every 10 to 20 people in the UK suffering from it.
Mollie first shot to fame when she joined girl group The Saturdays alongside Frankie Bridge, Rochelle Humes, Vanessa White and Una Healey in 2007.
The group had a great success with hits such as 'What About Us', 'Ego' and 'All Fired Up' and scored an impressive thirteen Top 10 hits.
Despite the success, The Saturdays announced they were going on a hiatus in 2014, leading Mollie to sign a solo deal with Island Records.
It was then in 2017 when Mollie appeared on popular dancing show Strictly Come Dancing when she gained another strong fan base. Mollie was paired with professional dancer AJ Pritchard, and despite a number of rumours that the pair were dating, both have made it clear that they are just good 'friends'.

Despite impressing both the judges and viewers on the show, Mollie was the 11th celebrity to be eliminated, just missing out on a place in the final.
It is now being reported that Mollie is dating England cricket star Stuart Broad, with a source close to the pair saying they are 'enjoying time together'.
