Pop star Olly Murs has paid a touching tribute to his best friend Caroline Flack, five months after her tragic death at the age of just 40.

Olly, who bravely opened up about his grief of losing Caroline when he appeared on Loose Women in March, shared an old video and photos of the pair on a heat magazine shoot a number of years ago.

Alongside the content, Olly wrote, 'Been watching old videos of us all day today caz! 😥💔 5 months have past already and there is not a day that goes by I don’t think about ya! I found this old photoshoot we did, it was the funniest and the best one! I’ll Never forget it! Even found a video too 🤣😭 your laugh was the best, just wish I could call ya and hear it again! 😥💔'. Olly's celebrity friends, who were also close to the former Love Island host, also commented on his post.

Keith Lemon wrote, 'Lovely. So crazy it’s been 5 months already.', with Laura Whitmore adding, '❤️'. Allison Hammond then commented, 'Beautiful memories ❤️😔', as former Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote wrote, 'I love her so much 💜'. (sic)

Speaking on Loose Women at the beginning of March, Olly opened up about Caroline's tragic passing, admitting he was on holiday with his girlfriend Amelia Tank when he found out the horrendous news.

Holding back his tears, Olly said, "I’m still coming to terms with it, it was a massive shock. The last couple of weeks... yeah, it’s so hard to talk about it.

"I’ve been seeing friends and family, I’ve been getting back to work, and keeping busy and talking about it.

"It’s tough, I never thought I’d never see her again. I love her to bits and I miss her."

Caroline was found dead at her London flat on Saturday 15th February, with her family releasing the following statement at the time, "We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February. We would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time."

A lawyer for Caroline's family later confirmed that she took her own life, just months after she stepped down from her presenting role on ITV2 show Love Island.

Following her tragic death, tributes from around the world poured in for the 40-year-old, as well as ITV2 paying tribute to the presenter during the final of Winter Love Island.
