An appreciation gallery of singers and their adored mums 💕

Happy Mother's Day!

Author: Alex RossPublished 4th Mar 2024

Mother's Day takes place on Sunday 10th March this year, so we hope you can celebrate in style with your special mum or mother figure in your life.

As we celebrate our own mums, a number of our favourite singers have also gushed about their own mums in the past, including the Little Mix girls, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Mabel and Dua Lipa.

Check out singers and their mums below:

Little Mix and their mums

Little Mix girls Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and former member Jesy Nelson have publicly gushed about their mums in the past.

Not only did they walk the red carpet together at the BRIT Awards, Little Mix included their mums in the music video for their hit single 'Power'.

Beyoncé and her mum Tina Knowles

Beyoncé's mum Tina Knowles has become famous in her own right over the last two decades as a successful businesswoman and fashion designer.

The 'Halo' singer has gushed about her mum on a number of occasions during her career, telling Oprah Winfrey, "I would describe her as the best mother in the world…and I mean that, really."

Bey also celebrated her mum in her 2020 visual album 'Black Is King', which also featured her three children.

Ariana Grande and her mum Joan Grande

As well as being close to her brother Frankie, Ariana Grande has a very special bond with her mum Joan.

Joan is often spotted at Ariana's gigs and publicly supports her music on social media.

Ariana has previously spoken about how Joan has been an inspiration in her life, saying, "My mom's a CEO, an engineer, a mom. The most fierce, baddest b---h in the world. And I think I learned a lot of that from her because she does everything herself as well."

Dua Lipa and her mum Anesa Lipa

Despite her dad Dukagjin getting a LOT of attention, Dua Lipa's mum Anesa is a superstar in her own right, with over 230K followers on Instagram.

If you follow Anesa on social media, you'll see just how proud she is of Dua and her sister Rina.

Drake and his mum Sandi Graham

There's no denying the fact Drake absolutely adores his mum Sandi Graham, calling her the most important person in his life on a number of occasions.

The rapper often posts snaps with his mum and Instagram, and lyrics about her feature in a number of his popular songs including 'Look What You've Done', and 'You & The 6'.

Mabel and her mum Neneh Cherry

You'll most likely recognise Mabel's mum as being the super-talented Neneh Cherry!

Singer-songwriter Neneh has been a massive inspiration for her daughter's own music career, with the 'West Ten' singer preciously saying her mum is the 'closest thing to a superhero'.

The talented mother-daughter duo often attend prestigious events together, including the BRIT Awards!

Miley Cyrus and her mum Tish Cyrus

Just like her dad Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley Cyrus' mum Tish is also a famous actress who could easily be mistaken for her sister!

Tish has acted as Miley's manager at points in her career, and Miley wrote her hit single 'Mother's Daughter' about her mum in 2019.

Katy Perry and her mum Mary Perry

American singer Katy Perry has been open in the past about having differences with her mum Mary due to her strong religious beliefs, but that doesn't stop the pair supporting each other at every given moment.

Justin Bieber and his mum Pattie Mallette

Justin Bieber's mum Pattie Mallette has been her son's number one supporter since he released his debut single way back in 2009, but there was a moment where their relationship was 'pretty non-existent', according to Bieber himself.

However, the mother and son duo were able to put their differences aside and are now closer than ever, with Pattie often sharing how proud she is of her son and his wife, Hailey Baldwin.

Lady Gaga and her mum Cynthia Germanotta

Lady Gaga and her mum Cynthia Germanotta also have a very special bond, with the pair teaming up to form the Born This Way foundation.

Rihanna and her mum Monica Braithwaite

She may be an award-winning singer with masses of hits, but Rihanna has been dabbling into the beauty business in recent years, something she says was inspired by her mum Monica Braithwaite.

Revealing in an interview with Vogue that her mum is her number one beauty icon, RiRi revealed her entire concept of beauty came from Monica, who is now a grandma!

Taylor Swift and her mum Andrea Swift

Taylor Swift has been very open about her mum with her army of fans, revealing the sad news in 2015 that Andrea Swift has been diagnosed with cancer, and confirming in early 2020 that she's now living with a brain tumour.

Speaking to Variety about her mum in 2020, Taylor said: "Everyone loves their mom; everyone's got an important mom. But for me, she's really the guiding force. Almost every decision I make, I talk to her about it first. So obviously it was a really big deal to ever speak about her illness."

P!nk and her mum Judith Moore

As well as her amazing relationship with her own children, P!nk clearly has a very special bond with her mum Judith Moore.

Not only does she take Judith to special events such as the GRAMMYs, P!nk also cares a great deal about what her mum thinks of her music, which she often documents on Twitter.
