Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown might be the youngest person to be included on the Time 100 influential people list, but now she has had another first - a broken bone! In her own words the young actress revealed "So, another milestone in my life. I've never actually broken a bone, except for now."

Although looking her usual upbeat, happy self, she continued, "So, from the doctor's orders, they told me to rest up, and that means I won't be attending the MTV Awards this weekend." Whilst she didn't reveal details on how she got the painful looking injury, she did show off the crutches and her left leg in a support.

Millie, along with her co-stars from Stranger Things, was due to attend the MTV Movie and TV Awards 2018 over the weekend, but sadly due to her injury she's had to stay at home. However, she hoped all the others have the best time at the awards.

And it certainly looked like they did have a good time. Millie's young co-stars were filmed chatting to MTV on the red carpet where they revealed a little more information about the upcoming series of Stranger Things.

Last month Millie also revealed some details about the upcoming Stranger Things season 3. Speaking to Variety, Millie said, "It's a beautiful storyline for Eleven this season. It's really a coming of age for her and understanding what being a normal teenage girl is."

The 14-year-old actress then added, "I found another side of my acting that I didn't know about."

As the success of Stranger Things continues, it was also recently revealed that there would be a Stranger Things book series, including a behind-the-scenes companion and a hardcover gift book for younger readers in the autumn, whilst early next year will get to see a prequel novel.

Stranger Things first hit our TV screens back in the summer of 2016 and quickly captured the attention of Netflix viewers. In the first season we were introduced to a group of young boys who live in a small, fictional town called Hawkins, Indiana. Set in the 1980s the first season centres around a young boy called Will Byers who goes missing.

Then, in the second season, set in October 1984, Will has finally been rescued. However, not many details are known about the events surrounding his disappearance and his friends soon realise that Will is still being influenced by the Upside Down (the dimension which captured him). Meanwhile, the young girl introduced in the first season, Eleven, leaves the small town to find out more about her powers.
