She's known for playing the lead role in the recent Wonder Woman movie, but in real life, Gal Gadot has surprised fans by being a real Wonder Woman. The Israeli actress took the opportunity to pay a visit to staff and patients at a hospital near Washington DC in her full costume, and photos of the visit were posted across social media.

According to ABC News the actress spent the day with staff and patients where she met a seven-month-old who has been battling leukemia. The little girl's mum told the TV network, "She Gal had a huge smile on her face and walked right over to me. She asked if she could hold Karalyne her daughter and scooped her right in to her arms."

Last year Gal, who was known for playing the role of Gisele Yashar in The Fast and the Furious film series, also starred in both Justice League and Wonder Woman, which was based on the popular comic books, taking on the lead role.

She is now set to reprise her role for Wonder Woman 1984 and the sequel due out next year.

Gal isn't the only celebrity to visit patients in hospital, over the years there have been many such as Johnny Depp, Chris Pratt and Chris Evans.

Last year this video was posted of Johnny Depp surprising a patient in hospital. The patient Miranda later described him as "better than the pain meds".

And a few years ago actors Chris Pratt and Chris Evans surprised a little boy in Seattle with some Captain America goodies. He looks so happy!
