The Great British Bake Off fans can't cope with a 'gaffe' in the opening credits

They want it fixed!

Last week the new series of The Great British Bake Off launched on Channel 4 for the first time, however the show's opening credits contain a 'gaffe' which is frustrating viewers, who have even taken to social media to vent their frustration.

Those with a keen eye will have noticed that the opening sequence hasn't changed since last year's series, the final series on BBC One, before it moved to Channel 4.

The sequence ends with a delicious looking chocolate cake, decorated with raspberries, but there is one problem, there is a raspberry missing! If you haven't spotted the gaffe then check it out below.

Taking to Twitter one viewer said they were hoping that the move to Channel 4 would 'fix' the raspberry, but sadly it hasn't.

As the show premiered last week another viewer said, 'The only thing I was disappointed by on GBBO was that the blasted raspberry is still missing off the cake in the opening titles #GBBO'.

This has clearly been bothering a number of fans for a long time. Even when it was shown last year they were taking to Twitter saying they were 'offended'!

Mary Berry, who was a judge on The Great British Bake Off until last year, was at the 2017 TV Choice Awards on Monday night where she was awarded the Outstanding Contribution to TV Award for her decades in the industry.

We caught up with Mary on the red carpet and asked her what she thought of the new series, now that it has moved to Channel 4. She described it as a "wonderful format" going on to explain that Prue Leith would have been her first choice to take her place in the series, which is now into its eighth year.
