Earlier this week we were super excited when the brand new Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald trailer dropped, but now it seems some eagle-eyed fans have noticed something strange about the trailer.

It seems that in the film's teaser trailer they have seemingly ignored a very significant wizarding rule! The trailer shows three people 'apparating' onto the walkway leading up to the school. However, as any Harry Potter fans will know, this isn't allowed.

In the Harry Potter universe apparition is the ability to teleport, however it is detailed in many of the books how wizards are prohibited from trying to apparate onto the school’s grounds.

Fans who noticed this error took to Twitter to ask, 'DID THEY JUST APPARATE IN TO HOGWARTS?' and 'You can't Apparate inside the Hogwarts grounds, how often do I have to tell you? - Hermione Granger'.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is due out on the 16th November this year and stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Jude Law and Johnny Depp amongst others.

This film continues on from the first Harry Potter spin-off, where the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured with the help of Newt Scamander. Now we get to see Grindelwald who has now escaped custody as he sets about gathering followers.

Despite the 'apparating' mistake we can't wait to see the film when it's out later this year.

As well as reprising his role as Newt Scamander in this film, Eddie Redmayne is known for playing the role of theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything.

Stephen Hawking sadly passed away yesterday (14th March) at the age of 76, an amazing feat for someone who was given just two years to live when he was just 21-years-old. At the time of the film's release, we spoke to Eddie about what he learnt from the Professor.

If you're a film fan then you'll be pleased to know that Empire magazine has revealed who will be receiving their Legend Of Our Lifetime Award. The recipient of their highly acclaimed award is the iconic film director Steven Spielberg.

The Empire Awards will take place on Sunday 18th March, returning to London’s Camden Roundhouse.

Now take a look at the biggest films from last year according to Empire magazine:

20. The Lost City Of Z

2013's The Immigrant is sadly still waiting for a UK release, so praise be to the cinematic gods that James Gray's The Lost City Of Z arrived without delay. Based on the true-life tale of British explorer Percy Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam), this dense but always gripping biopic is part political drama, part family drama and part adventure.
On discovering the remnants of an indigenous society, Fawcett spent his life trying to prove his Amazonian finds until his unexplained disappearance in 1925. Containing one of the most beautiful scenes of the year, this undseen gem deserves, nay, demands your attention.
