Ahead of The BRITs 2017 Melvin caught up with Katy Perry who will be performing at biggest night in UK music.

Time with the superstar is tight so they covered everything from jet lag to hair colour and BRITs performances to her BFF.

This will be the first time since 2014 that the 'Chained to the Rhythm' singer has performed at The BRITs and she is really looking forward to it.

However things weren't so great the first time she was at the event to receive an award. In 2009 she won International Female Solo Artist but she was so sick she ended up lying down in the toilets being comforted by Natalie Imbruglia!

"I had the flu and a temperature of like 103," she recounted, "I had the chills and I was in a Hello Kitty bustier so I was constricted!"

Thankfully the experience hasn't put her off though, she is looking forward to this year saying, "I'm so excited to be here, I feel like I've matured a little bit."

She went to say that tonight's performance will be Chapter Two of what she did at the GRAMMYs, explaining she has a fond friendship with the BRITs because they gave Katy her first award in the UK.
