Early next year we will see the new Celebrity Big Brother hit our screens and this time there is a really big twist!

To begin with all of the housemates for the 2018 series will be female! This is in a salute to a centenary of women’s suffrage, as the nation marks 100 years since women won the right to vote for the very first time.

Although the identities of the housemates haven't yet been revealed we have been told that they will range from politicians to performing artists.

The house won't stay female only however as male housemates will be joining the show later in the series. The gender stereotypes will be challenged and hopefully we'll get to see fascinating truths about what it is to be a woman - and man - in the 21st century!

According to Channel 5 Celebrity Big Brother 2018 is set to be celebratory, surprising and insightful.

The new series will be presented once again by Emma Willis who has presented it since 2013 with Rylan Clark-Neal returning for Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On the Side.

Whilst the excitement brews over the new series we've been told we can expect ANOTHER announcement about the new series tomorrow!

The new series of Celebrity Big Brother will be 21st series of the popular reality TV show with the previous series taking place last August which was an explosive series with this year's housemates.

Former EastEnders actor Shaun Williamson was evicted through the back door and Sarah Harding, Made In Chelsea's Sam Thompson, Ex On The Beach star Jemma Lucy, spiritual medium Derek Acorah, former The X Factor star Amelia-Lily and Bachelorette star Chad Johnson all found themselves in the final.

Eventually Sarah Harding was crowned the winner. She joins the the long list of former Celebrity Big Brother winners including the likes of Stephen Bear, Coleen Nolan and Charlotte Crosby.

Jack Dee: 2001

Jack Dee took part in the show for Comic Relief and everyone seemed surprised, none more so than Jack. The series lasted a paltry five days as it was a more innocent time.
