Celebrity Big Brother start date and details revealed

Just as the current series of Big Brother comes to an end, bosses have finally confirmed the official start date for the summer series of Celebrity Big Brother.
The new series will kick off on Channel 5 on Tuesday 1st August at 9pm.
Whilst it hasn't yet been revealed which celebs will be entering the famous house, Channel 5 bosses have confirmed a few details about the upcoming series.
A statement from the show reads, 'This summer, our celebrities will take a break from their hectic schedules for a stay in the country's top celeb retreat - the Celebrity Big Brother House. Here they can let down their guard and unwind away from the paparazzi. It's sure to be holiday heaven for some celebrities and a holiday from hell for others.
'The Big Brother House is undergoing a complete redesign ready for its new star guests. It will become a high-end retreat inspired by celeb hotel hang-outs.
'But while the celebs kick back and let their hair down, Big Brother never takes a day off – after all, he wants to ensure that the celebrities will have an experience that they will NEVER forget.'

Emma Willis continues to host the show, with Rylan Clark-Neal reprising his presenting role on Big Brother's Bit On The Side.
A number of celebrities have already been rumoured for the upcoming series including the likes of former Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding, Ex On The Beach's Jemma Lucy and former The X Factor star Amelia Lily.

Other names rumoured include The Cheeky Girls, Helen Lederer, Jordan Davies, Bobby Noris and Hulk Hogan.
It has also been rumoured that the show could follow in the same format as last year's series, which saw previous contestants return to the house.
This could include the likes of Lauren Harries, Stephanie Davis, Stephen Bear and Charlotte Crosby.
