The news came straight from Fox itself ahead of a screening of the new season at San Diego's Comic Con which is being held until Sunday 23rd July.

In a statement Fox said, 'The Walking Dead season eight will premiere in the UK and internationally on 23rd October' going on to say that the launch date is within 24 hours of the premiere on AMC in the US.
