Instagram has made a tiny, but very important change, although many users might not notice it at first. Where previously, if people you follow liked one of your photos, their name would pop up underneath the image, this has now been changed.

Now, the changes brought in by the app, see mini icons showing the users' profile photos (instead of their name)! Which all seems a little confusing - unless of course you know what everyone's profile pic is like.

However, the change to the display makes sense for those who are avid Instagram Story followers as the interface is very similar. Along with this recent change Instagram has also announced that there will be some other new updates, including a shopping feature allowing businesses to add a sticker to their Stories. When the sticker is tapped on it will display more details of the product.

This latest announcement comes just a few weeks after Instagram made two big changes to the app which included a 'mute' feature and an 'You're All Caught Up' indicator.

The Mute function is perfect for everyone who has a friend who likes to constantly post photos of their breakfasts, holidays or selfies, but you don't want to see every post. Meanwhile the second feature according to Forbes, will show whether you have seen all the photos/videos from the past 48 hours from a particular user.

Whilst these changes will be visible to some users already, others will have to wait longer and reports are suggesting it could take a few weeks for the changes to be available to all users.
