Steps release 'Platinum Collection' album to celebrate 25 years

Steps have now released their eagerly-awaited 'Platinum Collection', an album celebrating 25 years since they first started out as the foot kickin', finger clickin', group that brought us hits such as, '5, 6, 7, 8', 'Stomp' and of course the classic 'Tragedy'.

On the release date, the group who are currently on their '25th Anniversary Summer Tour', took to Instagram.

The band shared a promotional video and wrote: 'Our brand new album Steps ‘Platinum Collection’ is officially yours! 🤍 We’ve loved celebrating 25 years with you all - this album is not only a celebration of our career but also the journey we’ve all been on together! ✨#Steps25'.

Included on their new album is 'Hard 2 Forget' which was released earlier this year, along with 'The Runner', which they have shared the lyric video for.

When was 'Platinum Collection' announced?

Faye, Lisa, H, Lee and Claire first announced 'Platinum Collection' back in June, sharing details of the album. They revealed the release date of the 19th August, and that there would be all their biggest hits on the album along with two new songs.

As the news spread, fans of the group were quick to comment with many saying they can't wait to get their hands on the new album. One fan wrote: 'Ordered the signed vinyl ❤️❤️❤️', with another saying: 'AHHH YESSS! 🥳🥳❤️' (sic).
