Here at Hits Radio Pride we are excited to announced that Union J’s Jaymi Hensley will be joining us for a series of Saturday afternoons from 2pm – 7pm! Jaymi will be playing his favourite tracks and aiming to lift people’s spirits up this December.

Jaymi rose to fame as a member of Union J on The X Factor in 2012, and since then he has appeared on a number of UK shows such as Release The Hounds, Big Brother's Bit On The Side and Celebrity Masterchef.

Last year, Jaymi toured across the UK in the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and recently announced the launch of his new Christmas album 'This is Christmas', dropping very soon, on 11th December.

Speaking about his new show on Hits Radio Pride, Jaymi said, "Radio and broadcasting have been such a goal and passion for me since being in the entertainment industry, so I am so excited to be joining the Hits Radio Pride.

"Growing up as a gay teenager I always wished I had somewhere that I could escape to. I think what Hits Radio Pride has achieved is incredible and continues to pave the way for a fully inclusive world."

Hits Radio Pride aims to educate and raise awareness of LGBTQ+ issues and encourage inclusion and tolerance. In partnership with The Co-operative Bank and working with LGBTQ+ helpline Switchboard, the station will ensure listeners can get access to the right support and advice.

In Episode 5 Hussain, who is a queer Muslim man, and his Dad Asif reflect on the moment he came out to him and the impact it had on his family's community.
