New life could be breathed into the home of a former top-rated restaurant in Dorset.

Sienna in Dorchester was originally run by Michelin-starred chef Russell Brown until 2014.

It was then taken on by MasterChef semi-finalist Marcus Wilcox but closed during the pandemic.

An application's now been submitted to turn the building on High West Street into an Indian and Bangladeshi take-away restaurant.

The planning application says the new business, if approved, plans to be open daily from 5.00pm to 10.00pm.

We can comment on the plans, via the Dorset Council website, until November 4th.

In recent months several other shops or offices in the street have been granted permission to change from businesses to flats.
