Have you seen car stolen from Wimborne?

Dorset Police want to trace where the vehicle might be

Police in Wimborne are asking for our help in tracing a stolen vehicle, which might still be in use or put for sale locally.

A silver Volvo 940 estate was taken from the High Street car park back in August.

Officers have now released a picture as they're keen to return it to its owner.

We're asked to look out for the car, which has black wing mirrors, a tow bar and RSPB stickers in the window.

A 32 year old man from Fordingbridge in Hampshire has been arrested in connection with the incident, and bailed.

PC Kate Schofield, of the Dorset Rural Crime Team, said:

“This has been a particularly distressing and inconvenient time for the victim, who has lost the use of their day-to-day vehicle.

“We carried out a number of enquiries in relation to this incident which led to a man being arrested. However, I am still keen to find the vehicle and return it to its owner.

“I would like to hear from witnesses or anyone with information that might assist us with our investigation. I also make a similar plea to any members of the public who may have seen a vehicle matching this description being sold in suspicious circumstances to please come forward.”

If you can help with any information, you can contact Dorset Police on 101, quoting reference number 55230128029.

Details can also be left anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
