Dozens of statues have appeared in a front garden in Weymouth, and anyone's welcome.

The menagerie, which includes Elvis Pressley, Spiderman and Pinnochio, have gradually appeared on Seven Acres Road over the last 12 months.

They've been put there by Dennis Spurr, owner of the Fantastic Sausage Factory in Weymouth.

'Franks Garden' is named after one of Dennis' dogs, Frankie. Itstarted with one gorilla statue last year when Dennis had to fill a void left by a felled tree on his lawn.

"It started from there, I got such a reaction from doing that with people laughing and really liked it, I carried on", Dennis told Greatest Hits Dorset.

Now, he's lost count of how many statues he's bought, restored and placed in the garden.

"It's a bit of fun. If I'm here the kids can have their picture taken with their hero if they like, like Spiderman.

"Primarily, come and have a smile, just smile, if you want to put some money in the box by all means do, it would be really nice of you, it goes to a worthy cause.

"But just come up and have a smile, and also if you're really unlucky you'll run into me and you'll end up yacking all morning."

Children's groups have even started booking in with Dennis to spend time in Frank's Garden. He says anyone's welcome to spend some time there, as long as they get in touch with him first.

If you want to marvel at the spectacle, drive over to Seven Acres Road. You can't miss it.
