Weymouth’s biggest charity festival returns this June to raise money for the lifeboat station.

Last year the event saw Weymouth and Portland Round Table raise £13,000 for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance.

Weymouth RNLI Fundraising Team Chair, Teresa Drage said:

“I am very happy that The Weymouth and Portland Round Table have chosen Weymouth Life Boat Station as their chosen charity for SummerFest 2024.

“Weymouth is one of the busiest lifeboat stations in the country, covering 1330 square miles of sea.

“The RNLI relies entirely on donations to save lives at sea and to have the Round Table’s support is a real boost.”

Saturday the 8th June will be full of fun things to see and do including fairground attractions, local traders, donkey rides and food and drink vendors.

There will also be live music from Speedway Snails, Modern Disciples, The Undecided, Hustle and Chill, as well as DJ sets throughout the day.

Funds will also be donated to the Dorset Acquired Brain Injury Rehab Service that helped rehabilitate Round Table member Grant Tewkesbury after a serious head injury in 2022.

Chair of Weymouth and Portland Round Table who put on the event, Jason Frampton said:

"SummerFest 2024 is shaping up to be Weymouth’s biggest event of the Summer!

“Our one-day festival is designed for all ages, so please do bring your family along for a packed day of live music, fairground rides, performances from local groups, delicious food and drink, and so much more!

“By enjoying a day out at SummerFest 2024, you will be supporting two life-saving organisations in Dorset.”

Held once again at Redlands Leisure and Community Park, gates open 10 am with the event concluding at 10 pm with a spectacular firework display.
