Avon and Somerset Police are currently unable to respond non-emergency calls.

The force said just after 6am on Sunday morning that it's phone lines were down, meaning officers are "unable to make or receive landline calls."

They added engineers were working to restore the lines.

Anyone whose concern does not require an immediate response is being asked to report it using Avon and Somerset Police's online form.

The force add they are still taking 999 calls with the support of neighbouring forces, and anyone with a genuine emergency should continue to call the number.
