Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger split up after two years of marriage

Avril Lavigne has announced that she and her Nickelback rocker husband Chad Kroeger have split up after two years of marriage.
Taking to Instagram to break the news, Avril shared a photo of their first dance at their 2013 wedding and praised her former husband.
She wrote: "It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today.
"Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other.
"To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support."
Nicknamed Chavril in the press, the Canadian couple first met in March 2012 when Chad began work on Avril’s eponymous fifth studio album.
Their whirlwind romance began in July of that year and one month later they announced their engagement via a Hello Canada magazine cover.
They married on Canada Day – July 1st 2013 – and later that year Avril’s new album landed, which featured 10 tracks co-written by Kroeger.
Avril was previously married to Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley from 2006 to 2010.
