Have Beyoncé and Jay-Z named their twins after themselves?

It’s been a whole week since rumours emerged that Beyoncé has welcomed her twin babies with husband Jay-Z.

The couple are yet to officially confirm the news, however Beyoncé's dad Matthew Knowles took to Twitter to let everyone know he was a grandad again last week.

Matthew tweeted an image of a birthday card which read ‘Happy Birthday to the twins! Love Granddad’ along with the caption, ‘they’re here! #beyonce #twins #jayz #happybirthday’

Ever since fans have been patiently waiting for the Carters to reveal the twins' names.

Now rumours are flying around that the couple have settled on names for their new arrivals. Sources close to the couple have reportedly told MediaTakeOut that they have called the boy Shawn Jr., after his dad’s real name Shawn Carter, and the girl Bea, after her mum’s nickname.

We are still waiting for the big reveal from the couple themselves, but if it's anything like the pregnancy reveal fans are in for a treat!

Béyonce announced she was pregnant in February, wearing a green veil and holding her belly. She captioned the picture with, 'We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. - The Carters.'

How is she going to top that?!

However rumours suggest that Beyoncé and Jay-Z haven’t taken their little ones home just yet.

Sources close to the pair have told TMZ that the twins were born prematurely and are 'under the lights'. Many people are interpreting this to mean that the twins are being treated for jaundice.

Jaundice is not uncommon in new borns especially twins which are rarely carried to full term. It occurs when they are high levels of bilirubin in the blood and being ‘under the lights’ ensures the levels of bilirubin in the body are lowered.
