Comedy legend and star of the two original Ghostbusters movies, Bill Murray, is reportedly set to star in the all-female reboot of the ghoulish franchise!

According to movie industry heavyweight The Hollywood Reporter, 64-year-old Bill has a cameo in the Paul Feig directed movie.

Another publication, Deadline, says that Bill has been filming scenes in Boston alongside the principal cast.

It’s currently unclear whether Bill will be reprising his role as Dr Peter Venkman who he played in Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters (1989).

Last month, Bill’s fellow Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd tweeted that he’d filmed a scene as a taxi driver in the movie but hastily deleted it two hours later.

He wrote: “On GB set shooting my scene with funny beautiful Kristen Wiig. Lady GB’s are adorable, Hilarious and badass. Exhilarating!”

The new Ghostbusters movie stars Melissa McCarthy, Krsiten Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones as the Ghostbusters and Chris Hemsworth as their receptionist.

Currently filming, Ghostbusters hits cinema screens across the globe in July 2016.
