CBB's Chloe Ayling DEFENDS Roxanne Pallet following 'punchgate'

"She's a sweet girl"

The last ever series of Celebrity Big Brother was certainly one to remember in the summer. Not only did Jermaine Pennant get in trouble with his wife for his flirty antics with Chloe Ayling, the nation fell in love with eventual winner Ryan Thomas after Roxanne Pallett savagely accused him of 'punching' her on the show.

After Ryan broke down in tears following the allegation, Roxanne decided to QUIT the show and later dubbed herself 'the most hated girl in Britain' in THAT interview.

Now, after Ryan said in an interview that he WOULD forgive Roxanne, and his girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh asked people to 'draw a line' under the situation, Roxanne's fellow CBB co-star Chloe Ayling has jumped to her defence.

Speaking to The Daily Star, Chloe referred to Roxanne as a 'sweet girl'. She said, "I do hope she’s doing okay. I think everyone should stop targeting her because she’s a really sweet girl. She made a big mistake and she doesn’t really deserve the death threats. It’s horrible and I know what it feels like."

The model then added, "I really liked her in the house, she was one of my closest friends. Whenever I was upset, she supported me. She was one of my closest friends."

Chloe's words come after Ryan appeared on This Morning earlier this month alongside his girlfriend Lucy.

Speaking to hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, Ryan called for the furore around Roxanne to die down, saying he "didn't want to look back on Big Brother as a negative experience."

He said, "The most important thing for me coming out is family and friends, being around loved ones. Big Brother was a lonely place for me at times. I don’t want to look back at the whole experience as a negative.

"I know how much that show can have a massive impact on a person like Roxanne. I don’t really want to be a part of it. I don’t really want to fuel it. I know that Roxanne will be having a lot of backlash for this.

"Why do I want to sort of fuel that situation or be responsible for it? It’s not something I want to do."

Meanwhile, after Channel 5 announced the current series of Big Brother will be the last, it looks like another MAJOR channel could be about to buy the famous programme.
