John Legend and Chrissy Teigen might just be our favourite celeb couple of time. But now they’ve revealed they almost didn’t make it… Yup really!
Speaking to The Guardian, Legend explained how when they first started dating he tried to break up with Chrissy. But she was having none of it! telling him ‘no’ when he wanted to break up.
Legend explained: ‘I was really stressed and busy. I was just like, “I’d just be happier single right now,” and she was like, “No”.’
The singer also gushed about his wife, saying: ‘She pushes me to be funnier, not because she’s trying to, I think it’s just being around her. And to be bolder.’
Since the interview Chrissy has taken to Twitter to laugh at the anecdote, writing ‘It wasn't a a typical breakup. He was on tour and his voice hurt and he was being a whiny face about everything and so yeah, I was like "no"’.
The couple got together while shooting a music video together in 2006, they wed in 2013 and last year welcomed their totally adorable daughter Luna. Legend’s 2013 hit ‘All of You’ was a dedication to his wife.
