After welcoming her first baby into the world with her husband Frank Lampard back in September 2018, Christine Lampard returned to work at Loose Women today, where the presenter got a little emotional about motherhood.

Christine, who gave birth to baby Patricia last year, joined the panel alongside Stacey Solomon, Gloria Hunniford and Nadia Sawalha, and she opened up about the moment she finally became a mum.

Speaking to the panel, Christine said, "She is five months old today and for the last five months I have watched all of you. I’ve been sitting there feeding her in my pyjamas for the last five months and now here I am back again, and it feels really strange."

The 40-year-old then revealed she was a 'complete mess' when the doctor told her she was about to become a mum, telling the audience, "A complete emotional mess - I was sort of fine up until the moment the doctor said, 'You're about to become a mum,' I just said, 'Oh my god.'"

She added, "What got me was the doctor saying 'Christine, you are about to become a mummy'."

It wasn't long before Christine went on to reveal how life is with five-month-old Patricia, admitting she's now 'brave' enough to take her baby out on her own.

She said, "We went for a cup of tea yesterday morning, I had her in the pram. I'm brave enough now to take her out on my knee. Nothing scares me but in the early stages I thought, 'Oh what if she cries... what if I don't have the right stuff with me?' The first time I got caught breastfeeding, I mean caught out as I didn't know how to do this in public."

Christine, who is married to former England footballer Frank Lampard, also spoke to the panel about the couple's name choice for their baby girl.

She said, "It is very old-fashioned, it was Frank’s mums name. Frank was incredibly close to his mum and it’s one of his biggest regrets that I never got to meet her, she passed away the year before we met."
