There's no denying the fact Curtis Pritchard had a whirlwind time in the Love Island villa. As well as his bromance with Tommy Fury, Amy Hart quit the villa after Curtis broke her heart, and then he left the show in a relationship with Maura Higgins.

As Curtis joined Fleur East, Greg and James on Hits Radio Breakfast back in September, we were keen to find out how his relationship is going with Maura, as well as getting his thoughts on the rumours that Maura has been 'romantically involved' with fellow Islander Greg O'Shea.

Are Curtis Prichard and Maura Higgins still together?

After Fleur brought up the rumours, Curtis told the guys, "Right so Maura and I are very similar on this. We don't get involved too much in other people's relationships. We are friends with each individual in the relationship, so Maura is friends with Greg.

"Just because something has gone on with them in their relationship, that doesn't mean Maura has to be an enemy of Greg, or an enemy of Amber, it's sort of got nothing to do with us.

"She was in Ireland, Greg was in Ireland, they are both Irish and yeah!"

Is Maura the new host of Love Island?

In light of Caroline Flack's arrest, Love Island 2019 star Maura Higgins had fans convinced she was replacing her as the new host. Maura posted a snap of herself on a very fancy looking jet, as she told fans, 'off to the sun to shoot something very exciting...'. sic

Posting another shot of herself looking incredible as she stood on what looked like a villa pool, Maura had her back to the camera as she held her bikini top in her hand. She captioned the shot, 'Do one winter...'. sic

HOWEVER, Maura's boyfriend Curtis shut down these rumours when he joined Fleur East, Greg and James on Hits Radio Breakfast on Monday 16th December.

He told the guys, "I am going to put an end to this rumour. No she's working, she isn't going to do what everybody thinks that she is going to do. She isn't flying out, it just seems to be a coincidence at the timing."

The Love Island star added, "If i'm lying to you, that means she's lying to me, so I hope i'm not lying to you."

Here's who could replace Caroline Flack on Love Island:

Maya Jama

Maya Jama ticks all the Love Island host boxes. Hilarious? Check. Loved by the public? Check. Cool outfits? Check. It's probably high time a single gal took the reins on the show too.

Holly Willoughby

She stepped in on I'm A Celeb, why not take one for the team and fill in for the Flack on Love Island? Holly's usually pretty busy presenting Dancing on Ice in January, but maybe she fancies some sunshine this year.

Maura Higgins

We know Curtis said she wouldn't be able to do the show because of Dancing on Ice commitments, but we can't let go of the dream yet - okay? The Love Island star recently posted a snap on Instagram captioned: "Off to the sun to shoot something very exciting...", so maybe the dream isn't dead just yet.

Rochelle Humes

The former pop-singer and presenter Rochelle Humes has also been tipped as a favourite to replace Caroline. Sadly she's neither confirmed or denied her interest in the show. Maybe they can sort out a Saturdays reunion for the final too?

Rick Edwards

After Caroline's assault arrest was made public, presenter Rick Edwards suggested he might make a great replacement. He tweeted: "Well, ITV2. I'm pretty free in January, I'll happily travel to South Africa, and I've never been charged with assault."

Gemma Collins

Everyone's been getting behind the GC on Twitter, with users demanding she become the show's new host. The TOWIE star has even got a petition on the social media site boasting nearly 60,000 likes.

Ovie Soko

After the Love Island final, fans of the show were calling for Ovie to claim the £50K and win the show alone. His nation's-favourite status could mean he would make an amazing host on the winter version of the show - can you imagine this face on TV every night? Yes please.

Alison Hammond

Alison is TV presenting GOLD and we know she'd be hilarious as the new Love Island host. We haven't heard anything from her yet and it's radio silence from her social media, but watch this space...

Laura Whitmore

As presenter of Survival Of The Fittest Laura certainly has the right credentials to replace Caroline as the host of Love Island. Plus she's dating Love Island voiceover and general funny man Iain Stirling. Now that would be a true Love Island power couple.

Rylan Clark-Neal

Obviously Rylan has got to make the cut. He might be a little too busy filming the new series of Ready Steady Cook for the BBC, but he's reality TV royalty and it would be just great telly.

Curtis has been in massive demand since leaving the villa in July. As well as landing a role on Ru Paul's Drag Race UK, Curtis is going on tour with his brother AJ, and he's also been announced to be the new receptionist on The Greatest Dancer.

Telling Fleur, Greg and James exactly what he'll be doing on the show, Curtis said, "Basically I'm the receptionist, so what I do is everyone comes in, nervous people, scared people, excited people, they all come through the reception and they meet me, so then they get even more scared unfortunately."

Curtis then added, "I build up their confidence, put a smile on their face, do a bit of dancing, you'll see me twerking in there. I'm quite good at twerking I'm not going to lie. Then I send them on their way to perform."

Curtis is in the process of filming for the new series right now, with season two of The Greatest Dancer expected to land on BBC in January 2020.
