Daniel Craig has graced our screens as the famous James Bond since 2005 but now it seems a big shake up could be about to happen after he told movie bosses he was ‘done’ playing 007.

According to reports, the actor has turned down a massive £68 million deal to star in the next two films.

The 48-year-old is the highest paid actor ever to play the famous role after racking up a reported £38 million during his stint.

Now, insiders of the movie have claimed Daniel turned down an offer from MGM studio for £68 million to return for two more films following his successful run.

They said “Daniel is done, pure and simple. They threw huge amounts of money at him, but it just wasn’t what he wanted."

It may not come as a major shock to fans however. Last year the actor told interviewers ‘I would rather slash my wrists than agree to another Bond film’.

Since taking over from Pierce Brosnan in 2005, Daniel has played 007 in five hit films including Skyfall and the 2015 release of Spectre.

Now, bookies have suspended betting that popular actor, Tom Hiddlestone, will be cast as the next Bond.

Tom was also spotted meeting the director and producers of the film earlier in the week!

Could we hear an announcement soon?
