Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford announce SPLIT in shock statement

Showbiz couple and former This Morning hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford have announced they've split after 14 years of marriage.
A statement by the couple's representative confirmed the shock news, saying: "Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing."
The couple, who got married in 2010, share a 22-year-old son called Jack together, whilst Eamonn is also a proud dad to 35-year-old Declan, 33-year-old Rebecca and 31-year-old Niall from a previous marriage.
Northern Irish presenter Eamonn, who picked up an OBE for services to broadcasting back in 2018, first met Ruth back in 1995 whilst he was a presenter on GMTV. After taking things slowly at the beginning of their relationship, they later became Friday hosts on This Morning in 2006.
Despite being loved by viewers on the show, the couple chose to leave in 2021 due to an apparent fallout with producers, with Ruth going on to focus on her role on Loose Women, and Eamonn moving on to other things.
In the last few years Eamonn has been vocal about battling chronic back pain, following two prolapsed discs in his back, with the 64-year-old recently being spotted using crutches and in a wheelchair.
Speaking recently about his mobility, Ruth told Woman's Weekly: "I don’t know how much Eamonn’s mobility will improve. We live in hope.
"He does the physio, but there might have to be some acceptance that this might never be 100% right. With any care situation - and there are millions of carers in this country - it isn’t always easy. It’s testing but we manage as a family.
"I look at Eamonn, who’s had his health and back problems, and it makes you realise how important your health is."
