Ed Sheeran reveals how long he's gone without a phone

Ed Sheeran has managed to go TWO whole years without a phone! The 26-year-old singer originally shared a post on Instagram back on the 13th December 2015, saying he was taking a year-long break from the spotlight. He mentioned that he found himself 'seeing the world through a screen' and was taking this opportunity to travel the world.
Now, two years later, although he has returned to Instagram, the pop star still doesn't have a phone, but he does have a new perspective on life.
To mark a commendable two years since he started life without a phone, yesterday (13th December) Ed re-posted the message he posted back in 2015. Posting to his 17.4m Instagram followers he said, '2 years since I ditched my phone x'.
Earlier this year, Ed revealed his decision to not have a phone has helped him lower his stress levels.
He said, ''I bought an iPad, and then I just work off of email, and it's so much less stress. I don't wake up in the morning and have to answer 50 messages of people asking for stuff. It's just like, I wake up and have a cup of tea.'

Ed has had a very busy month, last week he announced a new collaboration with Eminem before he was awarded his MBE at Buckingham Palace. Ed looked very proud to be receiving the award, but it was revealed later that he broke royal protocol! Oops!
