The couple want to extend their brood

Matthew Wolfenden and Charley Webb have not long welcomed their second child but now the couple have revealed plans to extend their family.

The pair only welcomed their second child, Bowie, into the world on 19th December 2015 and are already proud parents to their six-year-old son, Buster, but they feel they are already ready for more kids.

In a recent interview the Emmerdale actor, who plays David Metcalfe said “While we are still pretty knackered now we might as well go for number three and keep that knackeredness ball rolling’.

However, the loved up couple also admitted that adding to their brood will delay them getting married again.

Matthew said “We just keep on having kids and it gets in the way.’ He went on to say the pair are ‘happier than ever’ and plan to get married once they complete their family.

Proud mum Charley announced the birth of her second son in a sweet tweet on New Year’s Eve. The couple then held off until March to reveal the name of their son and were forced to explain it was not a tribute to the late David Bowie.

Charley said “Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of David Bowie but that wasn’t why we chose the name. We just both loved it.”

Aside from enjoying time with his family, Matthew is set to shave off his hair for a dramatic new story line in the hit soap.

In the last few week’s Matt’s character David learnt the sad news that his aggressive testicular cancer had spread. Speaking on Lorraine, the actor said "I’m about to shave my head and lose my eyebrows, eyelashes, everything. I’ve always had facial hair so it will be a first for me.”

He went on to discuss the role further saying “As soon as I heard about the storyline I said I would just throw myself into it in every way to do it justice for the lads that have been through it.”

The 35-year-old also opened up about how his wife Charley and his eldest son Buster reacted to the news. He said “One of the hardest things has been explaining what will happen to Buster. I wanted to explain to him that I would be losing my hair and that daddy was going to look different for a while.”

You can watch the couple on Emmerdale, weeknights at 7pm.

Will we be noticing a little bump soon?
