George Clooney's mum reveals the gender of George and Amal's twins
The babies are due in June
In what has been an exciting month of celebrity baby announcements, George Clooney's mum had some more exciting baby news to reveal.
Speaking to entertainment website Radar Online, George's mum, Nina Clooney revealed the babies' genders,
“It will be one of each! Yes, a boy and a girl. That’s what I’ve been told,” she said.
She went on to say she and her husband were "extremely excited".
George and Amal's twins won't be 77-year-old's first grandchildren though, as she already has two adult grandchildren from George's older sister Adelia.
When asked if she knew the names she replied, “I haven’t been told their names, that is George and Amal’s department.”
Speculation grew that the couple might be expecting when Amal was pictured wearing loose clothes at recent events.
However there was no glitzy Instagram post to 'break' the internet (like Beyoncé and Jay Z), when the baby announcement was made it was done indirectly through a US TV show.
The 55-year-old Hollywood actor married human rights lawyer Amal who is 16 years his junior, in September 2014. They are expecting their twins in June.
