George Shelley has officially spoken out after it emerged he had been ‘kicked out’ of Union J due to his lack of commitment towards the band.

Twitter went into uproar after it was reported his former band mates gave the singer an ultimatum of “You’re either in the band or you’re not”, but now each member of the band including George have spoken out on their respective social media accounts.

The I’m A Celebrity star was the first to address any differences between the band after releasing this honest statement to his Twitter followers:

George claimed the decision for him to leave was in fact ‘completely mutual’ between himself and the remaining Union J boys and decided to leave to focus on furthering his music and broadcasting career.

After the 22-year-old released his statement, the rest of the band were quick to show their support of his decision.

Jaymi Hensley was the first to break his silence and told fans he is ‘utterly heartbroken’ that George is leaving but reiterated the fact he is ‘happy’ for his former band mate.

Dad of one, JJ Hamblett also wished George ‘the best of luck’ before telling fans the band have ‘some very exciting things coming their way.’

Josh Cuthbert similarly got Union J fans excited, he discussed new music before reminding people he will ‘always love’ George and sees him as a friend.

With George set to focus on his new career path and the remaining Union J members hard at work to create new music, it seems the future looks bright after all! – Yayy!
