Jonny Mitchell and Stephanie Pratt hit back at relationship critics

They've been together for one month

Published 19th Sep 2017

They shocked fans last week when they confirmed they were dating, but now Made In Chelsea star Stephanie Pratt and Love Island's Jonny Mitchell have been forced to hit back at online trolls who've insulted their relationship.

Not many saw their relationship coming, but Jonny and Stephanie both shared a loved up selfie on route to Bali for a romantic getaway last week. Stephanie wrote, 'Off to Bali with this one!! @jonny_mitchell1991 💕😎🐒🐬🐙'.

Jonny also wrote, 'Next stop Bali! Lucked out majorly and ended up with this sort sitting next to me 👀👀😂✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️ @officialstephpratt'.

Despite a number of fans congratulating the pair on their romance, others left harsh comments on their snaps, calling their relationship 'fake'. After watching Jonny's behaviour on Love Island in the summer, it seems a lot of viewers still haven't forgiven him for the way he treated Camilla Thurlow, and commented that Stephanie can do a 'lot better' than him.

Understandably not happy, both Jonny and Stephanie have now hit back at the online trolls and defended their love for each other.

Sharing a photo of himself kissing Stephanie on the cheek during their trip to Bali, Jonny wrote, 'I really can't wait to prove everyone wrong... This girl is one of the kindest, sweetest, most genuine people I've ever met and it sucks that she's having to take s--- off some people because of dating me, down to some disillusioned idiots that think they know me because of watching 10 minutes a day of me on a highly edited TV show for 5 weeks.'

He continued, 'It's all never really bothered me, and I found it all pretty funny in general because I've always thought that anyone dumb enough to believe everything they see on reality tv, Doesn't have an opinion worth worrying about, but when it starts to affect other people I care about then it's obvious that it's gone too far. So, my point being.. If you're really the kind of person who has to hate on a stranger, then it's your own life you should be worrying about. not mine. Rant over. Ciao 👋' sic

Stephanie, who found fame on MTV reality show The Hills back in 2008, also defended Jonny when she wrote, 'Wow everyone needs to chill - it's an edited show... think I would actually be with someone who's not an absolute gentleman to me 😐' on Twitter.

The pair are still out in Bali and have been flooding their social media accounts with loved up snaps.

Yesterday Stephanie revealed she'd been dating the Love Island star for a month when she wrote, '1 month with this #feminist 😂😍 #london #Croatia #bali #hatersgonnahate✌ @jonny_mitchell1991'.

Jonny also shared a snap of himself kissing Stephanie with the caption, 'This girl ❤️'.

Despite a lot of people thinking Stephanie and Jonny's relationship is a 'showmance', there is no denying the pair seem very loved up with each other.
