Katy Perry launches 'bold and glamorous style' shoe collection
This will be her first fashion venture.
Katy Perry has launched her new range of footwear which will hit major department stores in February 2017.
The collection, to be called Katy Perry Footwear will include everything from casual sandals to colourful trainers and stilettos.
The 'Rise' singer tweeted the news saying 'Get ready for my heart and shoe emoji coming to stores Spring 2017'
Although a UK price hasn't been announced it is expected the shoes will start at a reasonable $59 across the pond rising to $299.
Talking about the new venture Katy said, "It's been a creative goal of mine to be a real contributor in the affordable fashion space. Launching a footwear collection felt like a natural step for me."
The official launch took place in New York at the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) where the collection was unveiled to retailers.
The collection will feature shoes made from a mixture of 'futuristic' materials including lucite and vinyl mixed with metallic hues and floral prints.
Although this will be Katy's first fashion venture she has already made a mark in the fragrance and makeup world with her perfume Purr by Katy Perry released in 2010 and Katy Kat Collection with CoverGirl launched earlier this year.
