Liam and Cheryl co-parent their son Bear

Liam Payne and Cheryl were one of the most-talked about couples in the world of showbiz during their two-year relationship, which involved a number of engagement rumours and the birth of their adorable son, Bear Grey Payne.

Despite Liam and Cheryl announcing their split in July 2018, and the Hits Live Manchester artist moving on with model Maya Henry, it sounds like Liam still has admiration for his ex-girlfriend, despite a number of recent reports in the press.

The 'Stack It Up' singer appears on The Jonathan Ross Show tomorrow night (Saturday 26th October), where he is full of praise for 'fantastic mum' Cheryl.

Speaking to Jonathan, the former One Direction singer revealed all about how the former couple co-parent two-year-old Bear, admitting Cheryl was very supportive of his busy schedule.

He said, "She is a fantastic mum, I can't complain, she's absolutely awesome.

"She doesn't get on to me when I'm out working, doing different things, she understands, we do the very same job so it's not that different for us but yeah, she's awesome."

Opening up about his relationship with his son, Liam also confirmed that Bear 'is the most easy going child', and admitted his shock when he learnt to say the word 'sushi'.

Liam said, "He comes over to my house every so often and we just hang out. He is literally the most easy going child.

"He came in the house and I was eating sushi and he sat on my lap, looked at the table of sushi, took out his dummy and went "Mmm, sushis",'

"I didn't know what sushi was until I was 22!"

The Jonathon Ross Show airs on ITV on Saturday 26th October at 10.10pm.

Meanwhile, if you are a fan of Liam Payne, don't miss his performance at Hits Live Manchester on Sunday 17th November, alongside Robbie Williams, Louis Tomlinson, Mabel, Mark Ronson, Anne-Marie, Tom Walker, Zara Larsson and Jonas Blue.
