Louis Walsh opens up about mum having Alzheimer's
But insisted she's otherwise in good health
Louis Walsh has opened up about his mum having Alzheimer's disease, confessing she doesn't know who he is anymore.
But he insisted 84-year-old Maureen is otherwise in good health.
In a recent interview he reportedly said "My mum has got Alzheimer's now. She doesn't know me. But she's fine, healthy and happy and doesn't know any better."
He'd previously mentioned that his mum's health was important to her as she used to say "Your health is your wealth".
Speaking about his childhood he added that he was the second oldest of nine children in a 'good Catholic family' and although they didn't have a lot of money, he said they were happy.
His family apparently hoped that he'd join the clergy but Louis confessed he was more interested in pop music.
In 2007 the former X Factor judge invited his mum to one of the live shows and she famously embarassed him by revealing his real name is Michael Vincent.
