Olly Murs updates fans from hospital as he undergoes surgery following grim injury

The lovely Olly Murs has given his worried fans an update from his hospital bed, after being rushed to hospital following a grim injury he suffered at a recent gig.
The 'Heart Skips A Beat' singer shared a video reel to his Instagram Story, revealing a fragment of bone lodged on the back of his knee during his Newmarket gig at the weekend.
Updating his fans after undergoing leg surgery, Olly said: "Hey everyone, what's happening. You're probably thinking, what is going on? Why is Olly in a hospital bed? Well, I've just had surgery on my left leg, and as you can see, I've got my game on already to ice it.
"Basically, for some of you who came to my Newmarket gig on Friday, thank you firstly for your kind messages and support and checking I was OK.
"It's been a mad 72 hours since the gig getting to this point. Basically, after my second song, a fragment of bone which was in my knee managed to lodge itself to the back of my knee after I jumped and basically shut my leg down.
"During the gig, I was just limping the whole time, I couldn't believe it. So basically I'm in, I've had the surgery, I wanted to get this done because I've got the Newby gig on the 14th and the Singleton Park on the 15th.
"So I wanted to make sure I got this done for you guys. It will be a different gig, I probably won't be running around like I normally do, there might be a stool for me to sit down on, but I can't cancel these gigs for you guys.
"It was such an amazing vibe on Friday at Newmarket so I'll give it absolutely everything next week for you all."
The 37-year-old then ended the video saying: "It's been a mad 72 hours because I honestly thought the worst, I thought I might have done my knee again. So this is great news, it really is positive.
"I'm so sorry I look like a bag of sh-t this morning, but I just wanted to send you a message and let you guys know what's going on."
Olly later shared a grim photo of the bone fragment in question to his Instagram Story, writing: 'Picture of the bones lodged in my knee! What are the chances!' (sic)

The injury arrives just a few years after Olly injured his ACL (anterior cruciate ligament), where doctors were forced to reconstruct his knee.
Olly took time off from social media to recover from the nasty injury, he wrote at the time: 'Hey guys!! Quick update from me! I’m putting on a brave face for the gram 🥺😩 but this week I’ve been recovering from serious knee surgery, something I’ve needed for sometime. I’m not quite sure how I’m going to cope sitting still like this for the next few months 🤯😩' (sic)
