Take Me Out presenter Paddy McGuinness reveals diagnosis of a painful condition

Take Me Out presenter Paddy McGuinness has revealed a shock diagnosis of arthritis at the age of just 44. The TV presenter took to Instagram earlier today (12th June) to tell his fans, 'Morning! Nursing a poorly shoulder today. I had an ultra sound steroid injection in it yesterday. The reason, arthritis? I’m 44!'
Alongside his caption he posted a photo of himself with a white plaster on his shoulder, which he is pointing to.
According to the NHS website arthritis is a common condition, affecting around 10 million people in the UK, although it can affect people of any age, it tends to affect those who are older, particularly in their late 40s or older.
After just a few hours Paddy's post has gained a lot of attention with hundreds of fans leaving messages. One fan said, 'Oh I feel yr pain I've just been diagnosed with it in my knee,back,arms and shoulders and funny enough 1 finger!!! I'm 45!!! but feel older most daysðŸ˜x' sic
Another fan joked, 'Knackered on the inside but looking good on the outside 😉', whilst one more fan said, 'Arthritis sucks! I’m 48 had it since I was 25 !!! Feel your pain !!'.
The announcement of Paddy's diagnosis comes just a few days after he took part in a charity football match for SoccerAid. The comedian joined the likes of pop star Robbie Williams and Olympian Mo Farah as part of Team England, who eventually won after the game ended in penalties.
In other news, Paddy also recently presented an over 50s special of Take Me Out. Sadly it was just a one-off, however the format was the same, with 30 fabulous women behind the podiums and three eligible bachelors heading down the Love Lift.
Speaking about the one-off show Paddy said, "Proving that it’s never too late to date, I’ve gathered together 30 fabulous older ladies hoping to match with the silver fox of their dreams. It’s a really heart-warming show and a lot of fun."
The Flirty Thirty were made up of a former nun, an ex-girlfriend of Hollywood heartthrob Jason Statham, and a single lady on the lookout for husband number six.
