Paloma Faith is known for hits such as 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This', 'Picking Up the Pieces' and most recently collaborating with Sigala on 'Lullaby', however she's also a working mum, and has opened up about the struggles of having a young child.

In a recent interview the 36-year-old singer has admitted that being a new mum can be "hell". She told the i newspaper, "Don't get me wrong, I love my child, but it's hell."

She then continued, "It doesn't matter how much help you've got, no-one can explain how lonely it feels at night when you're waking up breastfeeding and you spend hours just wired on your own and you lose the will to live in a way, because your hormones are going mad and your husband is usually asleep snoring next to you.

"There's so much resentment," she added.

Paloma, who had her first child in December 2016 via an emergency caesarean, announced the birth of her baby on Instagram with a statement which explained what had happened.

The 'Lullaby' singer returned from maternity leave earlier than expected after receiving a call from her accountant who said "You need to think about earning some money now, because otherwise..."

The singer released her album 'The Architect' just 11 months after having her baby because she had a "little panic" following the accountant's call.

"I'm not well-off," she explained, "I think it was a combination of wanting to stay relevant but also generating an income."

Following the birth of her baby, Paloma decided not to release details of the gender of her baby and to bring it up gender neutral, so she won't give her baby gender-specific toys, or dress them in blue or pink clothing.

As well as releasing music from her new album, Paloma has also teamed up with Sigala for the fantastic collaboration 'Lullaby'. The song was released in March this year and has some seriously summer vibes. The music video sees Paloma belt out her vocals whilst sitting on a very fancy looking bed, as a number of talented dancers perform on a sunny looking beach location.
